The Ultrium 1760 Tape Drive delivers a compressed storage capacity of 1.6TB per cartridge and a compressed data transfer rate of 576GB per hour. Multiple drive models are available for the compact, half-height Ultrium 1760 Tape Drive including internal, external, and 1U rack-mount model.

AES 256 bit hardware data encryption provides easy-to-enable security to protect the most sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access of tape cartridges. By using LTO-4 encryption, not only is data fully capable of being compressed therefore maximizing capacity, encrypted backups are completed without a loss in performance.

The Ultrium 1760 Tape Drive is fully read and write compatible with all third-generation Ultrium media and offers further investment protection through its backward-read compatibility with second-generation Ultrium media.

The Ultrium 1760 Tape Drive includes HP StorageWorks Data Protector Express Software Single Server Edition backup/recovery software and the HP Data Protector Express Software Bare Metal Disaster Recovery option, as well as support for HP One-Button Disaster Recovery (OBDR) and HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools (L&TT) and supports the industry’s most comprehensive list of compatible hardware and software platforms.
