Have several 4mm DDS-1 tape drives (mostly Sony) that need re-conditioning - ie new heads, cleaning, etc. All work but were removed from service for same problem: All got to a point where tape sticks or hangs on head when being removed. Users would therefore pull out tape cartridge and either pull out, stretch, or tear tape. In addition most have enough hours on them that they maybe need new heads or at least some verification that heads still good. Would like to just have them re-conditioned to where I would feel I could get another year or so service out of each without worrying about problems.
